Modern e-mobility for transport & delivery in the Rhine-Main region
Duwensee Spedition & Lagerhaus GmbH has stood for reliable transport and logistics solutions in the Rhine-Main region and beyond for over 60 years. As a family-run company, we combine local and long-distance transport, international shipments, warehouse logistics, and customized logistics solutions from a single source.
To make our logistics even more sustainable, we are increasingly relying on modern electric trucks. In doing so, we combine emission-free transport with high performance and offer our customers a future-proof and sustainable transport solution.
Electric Trucks in Modern Logistics
An electric truck is a fully electric-powered truck that operates without fossil fuels. Instead of a conventional diesel engine, the vehicle is powered by high-performance batteries and electric motors. This modern drive technology enables particularly efficient and environmentally friendly transport of goods.
Compared to conventional diesel trucks, electric trucks operate significantly more efficiently, as less energy is lost through heat or exhaust emissions. At the same time, no local CO₂ or particulate matter emissions are produced during operation, allowing electric trucks to make an important contribution to reducing environmental impact in the transport sector.
This brings several
advantages for logistics:
- significantly higher energy efficiency
- no local CO₂ or particulate matter emissions
- lower noise levels
- less maintenance due to fewer moving part

Our Electric Vehicles in Practical Use
At Duwensee, we use several electric truck models to cover different transport requirements – from inner-city deliveries to regional and scheduled long-distance routes. By using modern electric trucks, we are taking on a pioneering role in the field of sustainable logistics.
In total, we operate two Mercedes eActros 600 and two Mercedes eActros 300, which are already firmly integrated into our daily logistics processes.
Our highlight is the Mercedes eActros 600, which was specifically developed for heavy long-distance transport. With a battery capacity of around 621 kWh and a range of up to 600 kilometers, this vehicle is ideally suited for regional long-distance routes and scheduled tours. The durable LFP battery technology does not require nickel or cobalt and is designed for a service life of up to 1.2 million kilometers.
For regional distribution transport, we also rely on the Mercedes eActros 300, which, with a range of up to 400 kilometers, is perfectly suited for daily local transport routes.
All vehicles are charged via our own charging infrastructure at the company site – naturally using 100% green electricity. By integrating charging times, for example overnight or during planned downtime, we ensure a high availability of our vehicles.
- Modern electric trucks for regional and scheduled long-distance transports
- 2 Mercedes eActros 600 and 2 Mercedes eActros 300
- Own fleet with sustainable transport technology
- Company-owned fast-charging infrastructure with high charging capacity
- Operation of the electric fleet with 100% green electricity
- Integration into existing logistics and transport processes
Freight Forwarding & Warehousing?
Our electric trucks are part of our own fleet — for maximum control and quality.
Trained drivers and dispatchers ensure reliable and efficient transport.
With vehicles such as the Mercedes eActros and the Fuso eCanter, we rely on high-performance electric mobility.
Our company-owned charging points enable efficient operation of the electric trucks.
Electric trucks and green electricity reduce emissions and support sustainable supply chains.
We also use electric trucks specifically on fixed routes for long-haul transport—predictable, reliable, and sustainable.
Currently, electric trucks are primarily used for local and regional transport. However, thanks to modern vehicle technology and the ongoing expansion of the charging infrastructure, they are increasingly capable of covering longer distances.
Even today, electric trucks can be reliably deployed for long-haul transport on fixed routes. With predictable routes and coordinated charging times, shipments can be carried out efficiently and sustainably.
