Modern e-mobility solutions for transport and delivery across the Rhine-Main region
Duwensee Spedition & Lagerhaus GmbH has been delivering reliable transport and logistics solutions across Rhine-Main region and beyond for over 60 years. As a family-run business, we provide fully integrated service - from local and long-distance transport to international shipments, warehousing, and tailor-made logistics solutions.
As part of our commitment to more sustainable logistics, we are cautiously expanding our electric truck fleet. By combining zero-emission transport with proven operational performance, we offer our customers future-ready logistics solutions they can rely on.
Electric Trucks in Modern Logistics
An electric truck is a fully electric-powered vehicle that operates without the use of fossil fuels. Instead of conventional diesel engine, it is powered by high-performance batteries and advanced electric motors. This modern drive technology enables highly efficient and environmentally responsible transport solutions.
Compared to traditional diesel trucks, electric vehicles are significantly more efficient, as far less energy is lost through heat or exhaust. At the same time, they produce zero local CO₂ and particulate emissions during operation, making them a key contributor to reducing environmental impact within the transport sector.
This offers a number of clear advantages for logistics operations:
- Significantly higher energy efficiency
- Zero local CO₂ particulate emissions
- Reduced noise levels, particularly in urban environments
- Lower maintenance requirements due to fewer moving parts

Our Electric Vehicles in Daily Operation
At Duwensee, we operate a range of electric truck models to meet diverse transport requirements – from urban deliveries to regional distribution and scheduled long-haul routes. By deploying state-of-the-art electric vehicles, we are playing a pioneering role in sustainable logistics.
Our fleet currently includes two Mercedes-Benz eActros 600 units and two Mercedes-Benz eActros 300 units, all of which are fully integrated into our day-to-day operations.
A key highlight is the Mercedes-Benz eActros 600, specifically designed for heavy long-haul transport. With a battery capacity of approximately 621 kWh and a range of up to 600 km, it is ideally suited for regional long-distance routes and scheduled services. Its durable LFP battery technology eliminates the need for nickel and cobalt and is engineered for a service life of up to 1.2 million kilometres.
For regional distribution, we also rely on the Mercedes-Benz eActros 300, which offers a range of up to 400 km and is perfectly suited for daily local transport operations.
All vehicles are charged via our own on-site charging infrastructure – powered entirely by 100% renewable electricity. By intelligently integrating charging times, such as overnight or during scheduled downtime, we ensure maximum vehicle availability.
- Modern electric trucks for regional distribution and scheduled long-haul transport
- Fleet of 2 × Mercedes-Benz eActros 600 and 2 × Mercedes-Benz eActros 300
- Dedicated fleet built around sustainable transport technology
- Company-owned fast-charging infrastructure with high charging capacity
- Electric fleet powered by 100% renewable electricity
- Seamless integration into existing logistics and transport processes
Freight Forwarding & Warehousing?
Our electric trucks are part of our own fleet — for maximum control and quality.
Trained drivers and dispatchers ensure reliable and efficient transport.
With vehicles such as the Mercedes eActros and the Fuso eCanter, we rely on high-performance electric mobility.
Our company-owned charging points enable efficient operation of the electric trucks.
Electric trucks and green electricity reduce emissions and support sustainable supply chains.
We also use electric trucks specifically on fixed routes for long-haul transport—predictable, reliable, and sustainable.
Currently, electric trucks are primarily used for local and regional transport. However, thanks to modern vehicle technology and the ongoing expansion of the charging infrastructure, they are increasingly capable of covering longer distances.
Even today, electric trucks can be reliably deployed for long-haul transport on fixed routes. With predictable routes and coordinated charging times, shipments can be carried out efficiently and sustainably.
